“Fornication will bring you under the control of the Jezebel spirit… it makes men effeminate and makes women masculine.” Do the research.
The warning at the heart of that image is this: sexual sin is never “just physical.” It reaches deeper—it affects the soul, the conscience, and a person’s walk with God.
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:18:
“Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.”
God does not say “manage it.” He says flee it. Run from it. Don’t flirt with temptation. Don’t entertain what God calls unclean. Because fornication wounds the inward man. It clouds discernment, weakens conviction, and opens the door to bondage.
Then 2 Timothy 2:22 says:
“Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”
Notice: don’t only run from lust—run toward righteousness. The Lord doesn’t just call us out of sin; He calls us into holiness. A pure heart is protected when it is filled with the things of God.
And Revelation 2:20 gives a sober warning:
“Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel… to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication…”
In Scripture, Jezebel represents seduction, rebellion, manipulation, and drawing hearts away from God. The enemy uses lust to pull people away from purity and obedience. What begins as pleasure can become chains. What looks exciting for a moment can leave heaviness, guilt, and distance from the Lord.
But there is hope.
Jesus still delivers. Jesus still forgives. Jesus still breaks chains.
The blood of Christ is greater than any past sin.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9
If anyone feels trapped by lust or sexual sin, the answer is not despair—the answer is repentance and running back to Christ. God can restore purity, renew the mind, and strengthen the inner man to walk uprightly again.
Beloved, guard thine eyes, guard thine heart, and keep thyself in the fear of the Lord. The pleasures of sin are but for a season, but holiness endureth before God. Flee that which defileth, cleave unto that which is pure, and walk in the Spirit. For whom the Son maketh free, he is free indeed. Amen.
