Fake at the famous mall from Bangkok Pathumwan
Bangkok Pathumwan famous mall keeps fake products worth 70 million baht and arrests 6 vendors
On March 20, 2026, the Department of Economic Criminal Affairs (ECSD) entered and arrested the sale of counterfeit goods in a famous mall in Pathumwan Township, Bangkok. During that raid, it was estimated that perfume, sportswear, cap, and belt had been established with a certificate.
Police arrested 6 vendors who were opening and selling shops on the first, third and fourth floors of that mall on Phaya Thai Road. They were prosecuted with forgery and sale charges against registered brands.
Such access is due to a 2025 report by the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) stating that Thailand remains a place to be observed in respect of intellectual copyright infringements. This is why the SECD has been authorized by the thumb institute.
All the arrested persons had initially admitted to the crime. Then they were handed over to investigators by Division I of the ECSD to continue their action in accordance with the law.
