DIY “Stained Glass” Mittens: Toddler Art

If there is one craft I love, it’s creating “stained glass”. It could not be more simple and it’s the perfect, low-mess activity to do with your little one!

🧤Simply cut a piece of black construction paper into a mitten shape. Cut out the inside too leave an outline (minimal art skills required)

🧤 Place sticky contact paper (or packing tape) inside of your mitten. Trim any excess around the edges

🧤 Fill the contact paper with tissue paper squares! You can cut your own squares out of tissue paper or buy your own already precut (what I prefer to do). You can make this any color you’d like!

🧤 Once done, hang it on a window or door using a piece of painter tape (or whatever works best for you). Admire your beautiful artwork! 🥰

BONUS is that it’s great for your child’s fine motor skills due to picking up the small tissue paper squares and using pressure to place them onto the contact paper 👏🏼
