One of my non-negotiables for my business is having a planner!
I love being able to see all my important dates in one place and I’ve just always been a pen and paper type of girl. Do I still have my iCal synced and all those same dates on my phone? Of course! but there’s just something about writing down your goals and organizing your life at the end of each month that makes it all seem easier to tackle. As an ADHD girly this is a must for me!
1. The first thing I do is write down all my important dates and I organize them by colors.
🩷Pink = Birthdays
🩵Blue = Holidays
💜Purple = Dates nights/marriage things
🩶Grey = Photoshoots/weddings/work stuff
🖤Black = Kids stuff
💙Dark Blue = Personal
2. Then I write down my 4 biggest goals for the month
I like to have measurable goals that start with a number and remember to always make them realistic!
3. I always add a new quote and I try to pick one that speaks to what I’ve been going through lately.
4. Something new I just added this month is a Mood Tracker! I’ve started taking natural supplements to help my ADHD and I’m hoping that this will help me tell if they are working or if I need to adjust anything
... Read moreOrganizing a monthly planner not only helps in managing time effectively but also enhances productivity and mental clarity. One popular technique is to color-code your calendar by assigning different colors to various categories, such as birthdays, holidays, and personal events. This visual representation makes it easy to spot important dates at a glance, thus reducing the chances of missing any significant events.
In addition, setting measurable goals at the beginning of each month fosters accountability. It’s advisable to pick four major objectives, ensuring they are specific, measurable, and realistic. This approach transforms vague ambitions into actionable steps, contributing to consistent progress.
Another valuable addition to a monthly planner is a motivational quote. This serves as a personal reminder and inspiration throughout the month, keeping you motivated during challenging times. To bring an extra layer of self-care into your planning routine, consider adding a mood tracker. By documenting your emotional state alongside your daily activities, you can identify patterns that impact your productivity and well-being.
Lastly, don’t forget to review your planner regularly. Weekly reflections not only help in recognizing achievements but also assist in recalibrating goals for the upcoming month. By integrating these elements into your monthly planner, you can create a personalized tool that enhances not just your productivity, but also your overall quality of life.
I have a planner I am unwilling to part with but December is coming and I can't find the 2025 version of it and it's more upsetting than I would like to admit.
