I use the “dry” method of cloth wipes on my babies. The dry method is when the wipes are dry, but you spray the babies bottom with a wipe solution, then use the wipe.
You can add water to the wipe container for the “wet wipe” method.
I’ve tried both but my default is just having them dry 😊
Let me know if you want me to make a wipe spray recipe as well!
Both the cloth wipes and container are from Amazon.
🙃My 2 cents of reusable cloth wipes/rags🙃
Reusable cloth wipes can be used for anything! This container and wipes I use just for my baby, but you could also have a container for your toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning etc. any old rags will do!
I used to be really into the zero waste movement, but I slowly realized that I would have to make more sustainable swaps out of necessity.
Any other families struggling?✋🫠

... Read moreReusable cloth wipes are a versatile and eco-friendly alternative to disposable options. They're perfect not only for baby care but also for cleaning and personal hygiene. Transitioning to reusable products can significantly reduce waste and promote a sustainable lifestyle. When implementing reusable wipes, consider setting up separate containers for different uses, such as a designated one for cleaning or personal care.
To optimize usage, the dry method involves applying a wipe solution directly to the baby’s bottom before using the wipe, while the wet method allows you to moisten the wipes in a container. Each method has its benefits, but many find the dry option more straightforward. If you're interested, creating your own wipe solutions can be a simple DIY project.
Additionally, exploring zero-waste living principles can inspire other sustainable swaps in your home. This includes using old rags for cleaning instead of paper towels or integrating washable cloths into your daily routine. Engaging with fellow parents can also provide motivation and support in implementing these practices, helping tackle common challenges faced in the journey towards sustainability. Every small step contributes to a larger impact, making it easier for families to adopt more sustainable habits in their day-to-day lives.
