How I got into college…

this essay got me into EVERY SINGLE SCHOOL I applied to, most with merit. so let me give you my number one tip and advice on how i wrote this!!

if you’re freaking out about your essay, don’t. you don’t need a crazy event or amazing stats to make a good essay, you just need authenticity. admit a time you learned, or something that challenged the way you thought or approached life. tell a story of your life. let the admissions officers get to know YOU, not your stats or your gpa.

at the end of the day, as much as you’ve probably heard it before, you just need to be yourself. if they don’t like you for you, the school isn’t a good fit for you. you got this!!

A well-crafted essay allows you to present your unique narrative, showcasing who you are beyond GPAs and test scores. Start by reflecting on personal experiences that shaped your understanding and growth. This method emphasizes authenticity, essential for connecting with college admissions officers. Research indicates that schools are looking for candidates with a strong sense of identity and resilience. Focus on providing vivid details that demonstrate your passions and values. Use storytelling techniques: a personal anecdote can illustrate a wider lesson learned, making your essay relatable and memorable. Additionally, consider how your interests align with the school's community and values. Engage readers with a clear, honest voice and maintain a positive tone throughout, ensuring that your personality shines through. Finally, seek feedback from peers or mentors to refine your essay. Revising your essay multiple times allows for greater clarity and impact. Remember, the goal is not just to impress but to authentically portray yourself, making your application reflective of your true self. Take this opportunity to reveal your aspirations and how you foresee contributing to the campus community. With diligence and creativity, you can craft an essay that leaves a lasting impression on admissions committees.
