quitting being a cna to work a normal job again .

I’ve been a cna for 4 years now , and started when covid was at its peak . I started working in the nursing home which i think really made me change my perspective on the job itself . Nursing homes are very hard to work in due to staffing , management , high stress etc. After a year i left and went to work in the hospital on the med/surg unit . i’m now 3 years into the hospital aspect , and i’m truly just over it . I think i’m burnt out with no return & management here is absolutely horrid . I know there’s no such thing as a perfect job , but having multiple issues with your workplace makes it very hard to push them aside and continue on . Anyone else feel this way ? if you’ve quit being a cna what job did you go into ? #hospitalworker #cna #burnoutrecovery #advice

... Read moreThe healthcare profession, particularly roles like Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), can lead to significant burnout due to high demands and stress levels. Many CNAs report feeling overwhelmed by staff shortages, long hours, and emotional strain, especially during challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Transitioning to a new career can be daunting but is often necessary for mental health and work-life balance. If you're considering leaving your CNA position, explore options that align with your skills and interests, such as administrative roles in healthcare, teaching, or even pursuing further education in nursing or another field. Networking with former colleagues can provide insights into potential paths and support through this transition. Engaging in forums or support groups can also help as you navigate this significant career change.
