I did not know how to put the pants so that’s why they look like that.

While I'm still gathering some of my academic essentials, I wanted to share what I've got so far, especially with outfits, and give you my ultimate checklist for what you'll definitely need for a successful junior year. It’s all about balancing comfort, style, and practicality!
First off, let’s talk about clothes because junior year means more time at school, more activities, and wanting to feel good. I'm totally loving versatile pieces, like these black flared pants – they're super comfortable for long days in class but can also be dressed up if needed. I also grabbed some olive green cargo pants and light wash denim cargo jeans because pockets are a life-saver for carrying small essentials like lip balm or your phone between classes. And for those days when you just want classic comfort, a pair of light gray jeans is always a good idea. For footwear, you absolutely need dependable shoes. My black and white sneakers are perfect for navigating those crowded hallways and staying comfortable all day long. Investing in a few key, comfortable, and versatile clothing items will save you so much stress in the mornings.
Now, for what you've really been waiting for: the junior year high school supplies checklist! This year often means more challenging courses, so staying super organized is key. Here’s what I recommend:
Academic Essentials:
Notebooks/Binders: I'm planning on using a separate notebook or binder for each subject. For subjects with lots of handouts like history or science, a 1.5-inch binder with dividers works wonders. For others, spiral notebooks are great for keeping notes together.
Pens & Pencils: Stock up! You'll need plenty of blue/black pens for notes and assignments, and mechanical pencils for math or anything that might require erasing. Don't forget highlighters in various colors for color-coding notes – it seriously helps with studying.
Loose-Leaf Paper: Always have a stack of college-ruled paper. You never know when you'll need to write something out or turn in an assignment.
Planner/Agenda: This is non-negotiable for junior year. Keeping track of homework, tests, extracurriculars, and college application deadlines is crucial. Whether it's a physical planner or a digital one, find what works for you and stick with it.
Calculator: For math and science, you'll likely need a scientific or graphing calculator. Check with your teachers for specific requirements.
Organizational & Personal Items:
Folders: A few sturdy folders for collecting handouts or papers that haven't made it into your binders yet are super useful.
Backpack: Make sure it's comfortable and big enough to carry all your books and supplies without straining your back. Look for one with good compartments to keep things tidy.
Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is so important, especially during long school days. I always carry my green water bottle with me to avoid buying plastic bottles and to make sure I'm drinking enough water throughout the day. It’s a small thing that makes a big difference in staying focused.
Lunch Bag/Snacks: Packing your own lunch and snacks can save money and ensure you have healthy fuel to get through the day.
Portable Charger: Your phone battery might not make it through a full school day, especially if you use it for school apps. A portable charger is a lifesaver!
Optional but Helpful:
Index Cards: Great for making flashcards for vocabulary, formulas, or key concepts.
Sticky Notes: Perfect for marking pages in textbooks or jotting down quick reminders.
Headphones: Useful for block periods, studying, or just decompressing between classes.
Junior year is a marathon, not a sprint, so being prepared will definitely give you an edge. Good luck everyone, we've got this!
I love your style!!
