... Read moreOkay, fellow anime enthusiasts, get ready because diving into the vast ocean of anime can be a bit overwhelming, right? That's exactly why I wanted to share my incredibly long list of every anime I've had the pleasure of watching, complete with episode counts! Think of this as your personal treasure map to discover your next favorite series or maybe even revisit some beloved classics.
I know seeing a huge list can be daunting, so here’s how I recommend using it:
Filter by Mood: Are you craving intense action, a heartwarming romance, a laugh-out-loud comedy, or something that makes you think? I've watched across all genres—shonen, shoujo, slice of life, fantasy, thriller, and more!
Check Episode Counts: When you see a title that sparks your interest, glance at the episode count. Sometimes you want a quick 12-episode gem, and other times you're ready to commit to a longer epic. For example, if you're curious about a series like 'Death Note', you'll find its manageable episode count right there, making it a perfect binge candidate.
Explore My Suggestions: While I've watched over 100 titles, some truly stand out.
Let me highlight a few personal favorites from my list that you absolutely shouldn't miss:
For the Thrill-Seekers & Mystery Lovers:
If you're into high stakes and gripping narratives, then 'Attack on Titan' is a must-watch for its incredible action and evolving plot. And for a psychological masterpiece, you absolutely have to experience 'Death Note'. The cat-and-mouse game between Light and L is simply iconic. Don't forget 'The Promised Neverland' for its unique blend of suspense and escape.
For Heartwarming Stories & Emotional Journeys:
Sometimes you just need a good cry or a wholesome story. 'Your Name' and 'Spirited Away' are breathtaking cinematic experiences that will stay with you. For series, 'Violet Evergarden' offers stunning animation and deeply moving character arcs, while 'Toradora' is a classic romantic comedy that brilliantly explores high school relationships. And if you're looking for something whimsical and comforting, 'My Neighbor Totoro' is pure magic. 'Angel Beats' also delivers a powerful emotional punch with its unique afterlife premise.
For Epic Adventures & Shonen Power-Ups:
If you live for grand quests and character development, 'Naruto' and 'Hunter X Hunter' are ultimate journeys that will keep you hooked for hundreds of episodes. 'Fullmetal Alchemist' (especially Brotherhood) is a masterclass in storytelling, blending action, philosophy, and unforgettable characters. 'The Seven Deadly Sins' also offers fantastic battles and a great ensemble cast.
For Unique & Thought-Provoking Experiences:
For those who appreciate something truly different, 'Serial Experiments Lain' is a mind-bending dive into technology and consciousness that will leave you pondering long after it ends.
For a Good Laugh & Everyday Charm:
Sometimes, a lighthearted watch is all you need. 'Komi Can't Communicate' is a delightful slice-of-life comedy about social anxiety and friendship that's incredibly charming.
Beyond just my watched list, I also keep sections for “Anime’s to Watch” (my never-ending backlog!) and “Anime’s to Finish (Rewatch)” for when I want to revisit a series. Creating your own such lists can be a fantastic way to organize your anime journey.
Remember, anime is a diverse medium. Don't be afraid to try different genres until you find what truly resonates with you. And always check the episode count before you start a new series, especially if you're planning a weekend binge! Which anime from my list are you most excited to check out, or which ones do we share as favorites? Let me know!
