Alligator head TP holder 🤷🏽♀️
Hey Lemon8 fam! So, I’ve been meaning to share one of my favorite #projectsathome with you all, and I think you’re going to love it. Remember that wild idea I had for adding some serious personality to my bathroom? Well, I finally brought my alligator head toilet paper holder to life, and it’s become such a conversation starter! When I first thought about unique #bathroomideas, I knew I wanted something that truly stood out. Standard TP holders just weren't cutting it for my vibe. That’s when the alligator head mount ideas started swirling in my head. I wanted something unexpected, a bit quirky, and definitely a DIY challenge. The feeling of saying "Look what I made!" with a project like this is just so rewarding. If you're thinking about creating your own, let me tell you, it's totally doable! First, you'll need the right alligator head. Mine was a resin replica, which is perfect because it's lighter and easier to work with than a real taxidermy piece (and more ethical!). For the "HOW TO" part of turning it into a functional holder, I focused on securely attaching a simple wooden dowel or a metal rod to the back of the alligator's neck or mouth, depending on its pose. You can use strong epoxy or even drill and bolt it through if you're comfortable. Just make sure it’s sturdy enough to handle regular use! This is where those Decoration TIPS really come in handy – planning ahead makes all the difference. Now, for the "alligator head mount ideas" – this was crucial for making it look good and stay put. There are a few ways to go about it. If your alligator head is relatively light, heavy-duty command strips or industrial-strength double-sided tape can work, especially if the back is flat. However, for something a bit more substantial, I highly recommend using wall anchors and screws. You can embed a strong mounting plate or a French cleat system into the back of your alligator head for a seamless look. For mine, I used a keyhole hanger system that I attached to the back, then carefully measured and drilled into the wall. Always check for studs where possible for maximum security. Think about the height too – you want it accessible but also a prominent piece of #decor. Styling your bathroom around such a bold piece is also part of the fun! I keep my other bathroom #decor relatively simple to let the alligator head shine. Think natural textures, maybe some greenery, or even a swamp-inspired color palette if you’re feeling extra adventurous. It definitely adds a fun, wild touch without being too over-the-top. This was truly a fulfilling Bathroom DIY project, and every time I see it, it makes me smile. It proves that with a little creativity and effort, you can transform everyday items into unique statement pieces. So, if you've been dreaming of a wilder side for your powder room, maybe an alligator toilet paper holder is exactly the #lemon8diarychallenge you need next!
