SEPARATION FROM OLD THINGS

When God wants to do something new with someone often he separates them. We see in the story of Abraham that when the time came for God to make a covenant with Abraham he instructed him to leave his Father’s house to go into a land where God will show him NEW THINGS! Abraham’s father name didn’t mean something good and Abraham was a man of faith. God knew what he was doing. Genesis 12:1

Isn’t it interesting that God wanted Abraham to leave what was familiar?

I learned something about God. When he wants you to recognize a new season, separation from old things will take place. Old things can mean people, place, etc. We often pray for the new, yet the mystery of life is not knowing how the new will show up. Not knowing what will happen or what color clothes one will be wearing when it happens!

Sometimes people are too loyal to old stuff. History doesn’t mean anything when God wants to use you. He can tell you to stop talking to those friends and walk away. While people are calling you fake and weird you’re being obedient to what you heard or seen in dreams. Just know, the new requires a level of capacity that the old things cannot give. There’s wisdom I GAINED when I stop talking to certain people. It doesn’t mean I wasn’t wise before by Gods grace, but he added to me when I obeyed his voice and left certain relationships. Listen to God. He is wiser than you & I.

Be encouraged & separate.

... Read moreIn our journey of faith, we often find ourselves at crossroads where separation becomes necessary. Like Abraham, who was called to leave behind his familiar life, we too may need to step away from people, places, and habits that hinder our growth. This process can be daunting; loyalty to the old can root us in comfort rather than propel us toward our destiny. Understanding that God’s plans often require us to make sacrifices can deepen our ability to trust the divine process. Separation isn’t just about physical distance; it’s also a mental and emotional shift. When we choose to sever ties with toxic relationships or unproductive routines, we create space for God to manifest new blessings in our lives. As we step out in faith, we develop a heightened sensitivity to God's guidance, leading us toward opportunities previously unseen. While it's easy to cling to the past, the promise of new beginnings lies in our willingness to let go. In moments of transition, we can draw strength from our faith, encouraging ourselves that God knows the bigger picture. The wisdom we gain during this period often surpasses what we had before. The message is clear: if you're feeling the nudge to change, do not resist. Embrace the separation with a hopeful heart, for extraordinary new things are on the horizon. Remember, separation opens the door to transformation, reflection, and renewed purpose.
