Some Things End With Me

Let’s normalize this kind of growth…

Not everything deserves to come with you.

Not the habits that kept you small.

Not the people who only showed up halfway.

Not the version of you that tolerated what you now recognize as misalignment.

Growth is not just about becoming.

It’s also about releasing.

And baby, everything cannot go where God is taking you.

Some things were seasonal.

Some things were lessons.

Some things were mirrors showing you what you will never accept again.

And that doesn’t make you cold.

It makes you clear.

You’re allowed to outgrow dynamics.

You’re allowed to close doors without a group discussion.

You’re allowed to choose peace over history.

Because elevation requires separation.

So let it end here.

The over-explaining.

The over-giving.

The over-tolerating.

You’re not losing anything…

You’re refining what gets access to you.

... Read moreIn my personal journey, I've learned that growth is often about what you choose to leave behind rather than what you bring along. Not everything deserves to come with me—not the habits that kept me small, not the people who only showed up halfway, and definitely not the versions of myself that tolerated misalignment or discomfort. This realization was freeing because it allowed me to focus on what truly serves my well-being. Letting go is not an act of loss; it is an act of refinement. It requires courage to close doors without needing explanations or group consensus. Choosing peace over clinging to history elevates your mindset and opens space for greater opportunities. For me, some experiences and people were seasonal—they taught me lessons and mirrored what I would never accept again. Recognizing this doesn’t make me cold; it makes me clear and intentional about the energy I allow into my life. Growth also means releasing over-explaining, over-giving, and over-tolerating. These behaviors often stem from a desire to be accepted or to avoid conflict but can hold you back from true elevation. Instead, focusing on refining what gets access to you empowers you to nurture healthier boundaries and relationships. Remember, every phase of life brings shifts, and embracing them unlocks your potential. You don’t have to hold on to everything or everyone from your past. Sometimes, the most powerful step forward is simply deciding to end what no longer aligns with your growth journey. This intentional separation fosters peace, clarity, and the space to walk confidently toward who you are becoming.
