The history of Japanese pizza, its origin was in Urawa.
The other day, I went to Urawa with my wife for shopping. I stopped by for lunch at Nikola Pizza Urawa, which I had been interested in for a long time.
This restaurant with a cool appearance is marked by the signboard of Nick (Nicholas Zapetti) who holds up a pizza at the storefront. Actually, it is a direct line of the first pizzeria in Japan, Nicholas, which was born in Roppongi in 1956, and it is a ridiculous historical restaurant that inherits the original traditional taste.
In the past, Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor, and the current Emperor (then Crown Prince) and Michiko also visited to eat this pizza.
This time I ordered the traditional "Nicola Mix Pizza" and today's handmade pasta "Scallop and Kinoko with Basil Cream Sauce (Fettuccine)."
American-style pizza has a crispy, thin, and fragrant dough. What is noteworthy is the overwhelming volume and richness of 100% Gouda cheese, which has been described as "drowning in cheese" for a long time. The slightly salty taste is an adult taste that definitely goes well with beer, wine, or fruity Junmai Ginjo sake.
The hand-made pasta served at the perfect timing to be impressed by the pizza has a refreshing basil flavor and is not heavy, and the gentle taste of scallops and mushrooms is sublimated to the finest.
The first floor is a stylish bar style where you can drop in.
At the counter, it was a wonderful space that made me think that I want to become an adult who looks good with such a cool usage...
Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.
