It's only May. The sky is still open. The sun is still good, but don't worry! Because in the next five months (October), we will be in the monsoon peak and the great flood season of Thailand.
Over the years, we often see a wide flow of wild water. Locals can't get stuck on their homes anywhere (as in the first picture). This year we will not wait until that day and run away from the water! Today, our page invites everyone to "prepare from the dry" with three simple steps. 👇

1️⃣ Home Clearance & Fire System 🛠️
Check roofs, water pipes, and drainage points around the house. Don't get any garbage leaf debris clogged.
Check the electrical system, move the power outlet at a high risk point, or make a separate cutout system in case the emergency power is cut.
2️⃣ Store important items, put "waterproof box." 📦
Collect Archives (ID Card, House Register, Deed, Book Bank) Insert Ziplock Envelopes, or Waterproof Plastic Box
Trick: All documents should be photographed or scanned, uploaded, stored in Cloud or Gmail in case of instant mobile pick-up.
3️⃣ Arrange Emergency Kit (Emergency Bag) 🎒
Home common medicine, identification medicine, and indispensable are "foot-bite / disinfectant antidotes."

ช่วงเดือนตุลาคมที่กำลังจะมาถึงนี้เป็นช่วงเวลาที่ชาวไทยหลายคนต้องเตรียมตัวให้พร้อมสำหรับน้ำท่วมที่มักจะเกิดขึ้นตามฤดูกาลมรสุมใหญ่ ผมเองได้ผ่านประสบการณ์น้ำท่วมหลายครั้ง จึงได้เรียนรู้ว่าการเตรียมความพร้อมตั้งแต่เนิ่นๆ คือกุญแจสำคัญ สิ่งแรกที่ผมทำคือการตรวจสอบสภาพบ้านทั้งหลังคาและระบบระบายน้ำอย่างละเอียด เพราะขยะและเศษใบไม้สามารถอุดตันท่อ ทำให้น้ำไหลไม่สะดวก และก่อให้เกิดน้ำท่วมขังได้ง่าย นอกจากนี้การย้ายปลั๊กไฟให้สูงขึ้นหรือมีระบบตัดไฟแยกชั้นก็ช่วยป้องกันไฟฟ้าลัดวงจรในช่วงน้ำท่วมได้ดีมาก อีกเรื่องที่สำคัญไม่แพ้กันคือการเก็บเอกสารสำคัญ เช่น บัตรประชาชน ทะเบียนบ้าน หรือสมุดบัญชีธนาคาร ต้องอยู่ในกล่องกันน้ำและซองซิปล็อก เพื่อป้องกันเอกสารเสียหาย นอกจากนี้การถ่ายรูปหรือสแกนเอกสารขึ้น Cloud จะช่วยให้เข้าถึงข้อมูลได้ทันทีแม้ในสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉิน สุดท้าย การจัดชุดฉุกเฉินที่มีทั้งยาแก้น้ำกัดเท้า ยาฆ่าเชื้อ ไฟฉาย ถ่านสำรอง และอาหารแห้ง เป็นสิ่งที่จำเป็นมาก เพราะเมื่อเกิดน้ำท่วมเราจะไม่สามารถออกไปซื้อของได้ง่ายๆ ชุดฉุกเฉินนี้ช่วยให้เราผ่านพ้นเหตุการณ์ได้อย่างปลอดภัยและสะดวกมากขึ้น ผมขอแนะนำให้ทุกคนเริ่มต้น "เตรียมตัวตั้งแต่ตอนแห้ง" เพื่อให้สามารถรับมือกับสถานการณ์น้ำท่วมได้อย่างมั่นใจ ป้องกันความเสียหายทั้งชีวิตและทรัพย์สิน รวมทั้งยังเป็นการแสดงความห่วงใยต่อตัวเองและครอบครัว โดยเฉพาะคนที่อาศัยอยู่ในพื้นที่เสี่ยงน้ำท่วม อย่ารอช้า เริ่มเช็กลิสต์และเตรียมตัวกันตั้งแต่วันนี้ครับ
