Review of "Web of Vows and Vengeance"
Wow, just wow! This book is amazing! 5 stars. Thank you so much to The Nerd Fam and Author Aria Ashbrook for the advance reader copy. The author did a great job of making me feel so many emotions because I was attached and invested in the characters. The premise sounds similar to other Romantasy books, but it is incredibly unique! The audiobook is excellent too!
It has:

Quick blurb:
Stripped of power. Fuelled by vengeance.
She lost everything because of his lie. Now the only way to save her sister is to win a deadly competition that could cost her the only thing she has left: her life.
When Prince Kyor twisted the truth about his mother’s death, Rose paid the price. Her family was stripped of their magic, cast into the slums, and abandoned by the kingdom they once served. Now her parents are gone, and her younger sister’s future hangs in the balance.
Rose’s only hope is the Tournament of the Gifting, a brutal competition held once a century, where the victor earns a blessing from the Goddess of Life. The catch? Every other contender wields the very power she was robbed of.

Having immersed myself in Web of Vows and Vengeance, I must say the blend of fantasy elements and emotional depth sets it apart from typical romantasy novels. The storyline revolves around Rose, who is stripped of power and fueled by vengeance after Prince Kyor's deceit drastically changes her family's fate. What drew me in was how the Tournament of the Gifting isn't just a competition but a fight for survival where every participant wields powers Rose has been deprived of. This creates intense tension throughout the narrative. The "enemies to lovers" trope is executed masterfully, with the brooding royal male main character (MMC) adding layers of complexity and intrigue. The slow-burn romance felt authentic, allowing readers to appreciate the characters’ growth alongside the evolving plot. Rose’s journey as an underdog heroine fighting against all odds resonated deeply, showing resilience and determination. Moreover, the incorporation of gods and goddesses enriches the world-building, adding mystical depth without overwhelming the story. The audiobook version further enhances the experience, delivering vivid performances that capture the emotional nuances. Fans of similar romantic fantasies will appreciate how this story combines familiar elements like forced proximity and deadly tournaments, but with unique twists that keep you eagerly turning pages. It’s a story about power, betrayal, family, and ultimately hope — all woven into a gripping narrative that stays with you long after the last chapter.
