... Read moreSometimes, I find myself caught in a mental loop similar to the phrases "I'm not crazy," "I'm special," and then doubting myself with "No wait maybe I'm crazy." This inner dialogue is something many people experience but rarely share openly. It's a mix of self-assurance and self-questioning that reflects our complex relationship with our own identity. In my own experience, these moments of internal conversation have helped me pause and evaluate what makes me unique and why sometimes I feel different or out of sync with others. Self-talk can be a powerful tool for coping with uncertainty and stress. Just like the phrase "I have to talk to myself about this... hold on...," taking a moment to process emotions internally allows me to gain perspective and calm my thoughts. I’ve noticed that embracing these fleeting thoughts rather than dismissing them has increased my self-awareness and mental resilience. It’s okay to question your mind from time to time; it doesn’t mean you’re not grounded or sane, but rather that you’re attentive to your inner world. This kind of candid self-reflection encourages acceptance and compassion towards oneself. Furthermore, sharing this process with others can be liberating and may help others recognize the normalcy of such mental dialogues. It’s important to know you're not alone in having complex or seemingly contradictory feelings. This personal experience has taught me to be kinder to myself on confusing days and to celebrate the moments when I feel truly "special" in my own unique way.
