Pregnancy is no joke. It takes a toll on your body physically, mentally, and emotionally. From having blue sweat, to tooth loss, to blindness, it is one of the most life altering experiences a woman can have (yes, all the symptoms I mentioned are real).
Why would you potentially put your body through that if you don’t have to???
I don’t have any kids but I know raising them is DIFFICULT. There’s no handbook. & it’s so much more than making sure they’re fed, have a roof over their head and clothes on their back. When you have a child your entire world changes. They become your top priority. It’s a major responsibility that lasts for the rest of your life.
Why would you sign up to handle that responsibility without help? If you partner isn’t committed to you, what makes you think they’ll be committed to a child?
I know that accidents happen!! And there are circumstances in which things occur that are out of our control. If you’re going to be sexually active it’s your responsibility to accept whatever comes with that decision. However, minimizing the chance of pregnancy is within your control.
Being married isn’t about flaunting a multi carat ring. It’s a symbol of the maturity of taking a vow to become one. Having a lifelong partner. Raising a child is easier when you have that commitment under your belt.
