is BASEMENT FG worth the hype ⁉️

every girl that plans to go to china probably knows about BASEMENT FG 🥹 the huge clothing store that people push shopping carts in as they choose their clothes!!

well i’m no different and i wanted to go and check it out for myself! so here’s my honest review:

i went to the chongqing outlet when i was in china (it was late december when i went) and it was actually really really huge in real life 😭😭 kinda gave off brandy melville kinda vibes when i was there.

keep in mind that for SG blog shops im a usual size XS so im pretty petite with quite a small frame to begin with! and chinese girls are pretty small so i expected to be able to find clothes i liked and fit me quite easily. however, i could not fit any of the bottoms because they were way too loose and only could find tops that i liked!

it was winter at the time so i didn’t expect much but i managed to find 2 basic tops at pretty good prices ($10-15) which r the tops that you can see in the first 2 pictures ❤️ WHICH I BOUGHT

so ya! i’d definitely recommend you girls (and guys) to come at least once because there are definitely pieces that are unisex

... Read moreFrom my time at Basement FG, I noticed it’s really popular among locals and travelers alike because of its vast selection and unique shopping style. You push a cart around the store, which is both fun and convenient as you pick out clothing items. If you’re petite like me, be prepared that bottoms might run large, so it’s best to try things on if possible or focus on tops and accessories. I found that prices are quite reasonable, especially for fashion-forward basics you won’t easily find elsewhere. Plus, the vibe is trendy yet casual, reminding me of brands that young people love. One useful tip is to go during off-peak hours to avoid crowds as the store can get busy, especially on weekends. Since I went in winter, the selection leaned towards layering pieces and warmer tops, but they do stock a wide range of styles year-round. Overall, Basement FG Chongqing offers a unique shopping outing with a great mix of fashion suitable for guys and girls. Whether you want statement pieces or everyday wear, it’s worthwhile visiting at least once when in China. Just bring an open mind and enjoy the experience!

I got caught up in the hype and bought a ton of stuff during Black Friday, but the experience has been terrible. The shaping is nowhere near as good as lululemon’s, the fabric doesn’t feel nice, and the leggings even slide down!!! And don’t tell me I got the wrong size — I’ve tried all different
