I’m fairly new in my walk with Christ and I’ve felt called recently to walk away from secular music but I feel like that’s a lot easier said than done.
Music is such an important part of my life especially when I’m driving somewhere so trying to give up all of my favorite worldly Rap/R&B songs has been no easy feat.
In a quest to make this choice easier I’ve been on the hunt for music that sounds like my old favorite bops, but glorify God at the same time and I wanted to share my Spotify playlist with anyone who is on the same journey as me. I am currently discovering new songs and adding them to this playlist on the daily.

For me, the key was finding artists who could bring that same energy and lyrical depth I loved, but rooted in faith. Beyond the artists I've already mentioned in my playlist, here are a few more tips and names that have seriously changed my car rides and workout sessions: First, don't be afraid to explore sub-genres within Christian music. Christian Hip Hop (CHH) and Gospel R&B have exploded with talent. You'll find everything from aggressive, thought-provoking rap to smooth, soulful melodies. Artists like Stevie Rizo have such a unique sound, and I’ve been loving tracks like "When We Ride." And for that empowering R&B vibe, Kijan Boone's music, including songs like "Woman Of God" and "P31," is just fantastic. It’s truly encouraging. There will be times you miss old songs, and that's okay. But with each new Christian song you add to your rotation, you'll feel your spirit lifted and your walk strengthened.
