Udo Island’s Must-Try Abalone Spot 🥣

Soseom Jeonbok is a popular seafood spot on Udo Island, South Korea, best known for its fresh abalone dishes.

Their must-tries include abalone porridge, butter-grilled abalone and abalone rice served with sea squirt seaweed soup.

The restaurant also offers a relaxing dining atmosphere with scenic views of the ocean and surrounding greenery of Udo island.

It’s one of the best abalone porridges I’ve ever had! It's savoury, slightly sweet and incredibly comforting, especially in cold weather. Their butter-grilled abalone is also wonderfully sweet and juicy and oh, that seaweed soup, it’s like tasting the whole ocean in one spoonful 😋

I highly recommend checking this place out if you’re heading to Udo Island and i'll definitely be back if i ever go to Udo again!

... Read moreIf you’re planning a trip to Udo Island, don’t miss out on the full menu experience at Soseom Jeonbok. Apart from the signature abalone porridge and butter-grilled abalone, their abalone rice combined with sea squirt seaweed soup offers a unique taste that truly reflects the island’s marine freshness. From my personal visit, I found the abalone porridge both warming and nourishing—perfect for chilly days. The restaurant’s setting, with large windows looking out over the blue sea and lush greenery, adds a peaceful vibe that enhances your dining pleasure. Also, consider trying the abalone hot pot and abalone cold raw fish soup for a varied seafood feast. Prices are reasonable given the quality—about 18,000 KRW for most dishes. They even offer parking at the back, making it convenient for visitors. If you have a chance to order delivery or takeout, it’s worth it, especially if you want to bring a taste of Udo Island home with you. Whether you’re a seafood lover or just seeking an authentic Korean coastal dining experience, Soseom Jeonbok’s menu and atmosphere provide an unforgettable taste of Jeju’s renowned abalone cuisine.
