Artist’s enemy
I came here in hopes there weren’t any Ai “art” garbage dumpsters around but I’ve been proven wrong ToT. The most “cozy” looking art was found to be Ai generated.. how disappointing!
Tips on how to spot them:
- Different textures! Look at different parts of the skin and clothing. Most times these get missed and they don’t bother to get fixed.
- Hard to catch: lines that don’t make sense. Usually found in hair or where line ends meet!
- THE HANDS!!
- Backgrounds: depending on the image, the background can have patches of blobs and also misaligned flooring.
What are other things you’ve noticed?
As AI art becomes increasingly prevalent, distinguishing between authentic artistry and machine-generated content is crucial for both artists and art appreciators. One prevalent issue is the uncanny valley effect where AI-created images possess near-human characteristics but ultimately miss the mark. Analyzing subtle flaws in the artwork can provide insights into its origin. For instance, AI often struggles with intricacies like realistic skin textures. Artists should closely examine transitions in colors and shadows; inconsistencies can reveal telltale signs of AI involvement. Another common flaw is the rendering of hands and facial features, often resulting in awkward shapes that can detract from the overall piece. Backgrounds may appear chaotic, with mismatched elements that don't harmonize with the subjects, further indicating a lack of human nuance in the creation process. Engaging in discussions and sharing experiences through platforms like #artistsoflemon8 and #artrant can raise awareness about these challenges and empower creators to protect their artistry in this evolving landscape.

A lot of the times u will know it when u see it other times it may look rly perfect or rly weird it’s rly hard catching them sometimes and it’s rly sad that artists get their art stolen from ai :(
