First Bear of the Year! 🐻
IT FINALLY HAPPENED! I’ve been eagerly awaiting fawns, but it’s also bear season- one finally came by! Ryan forgot to strap down our trashcan, thankfully it doesn’t look to have been bothered at all but I guess a bear was still summoned 😂 just a cute lil guy! Or mamma, more likely I guess 💞 I love to see ‘em, it’s still unreal to me that bears of all things are some of our regular critters but hey, I grew up in Paulding County where there was maybe a blackbear sighting once every year if even that 🐻
(Stay watching ‘till the end of the vid for a big ol camera sniff!)

This article highlights a delightful encounter with a bear, a symbol of nature's beauty and unpredictability. Black bears are common in North Georgia, especially in regions like the Georgia Mountains and Appalachia, where they roam freely. In these areas, the ecological balance allows various species to coexist, contributing to a rich biodiversity. Understanding bear behavior is essential for safety and appreciation; they are generally not aggressive unless provoked. Many wildlife enthusiasts visit locations like Gumlog Mountain in hopes of witnessing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. If you're someone who enjoys hiking or exploring nature, the spring months are particularly enchanting as bears emerge from hibernation and start foraging for food. Remember, if you see a bear, it's best to keep a safe distance and enjoy the moment quietly. This way, we ensure the safety of both the wildlife and ourselves while embracing the beauty of nature.
