6. Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas
• As the 5th book in the TOG series I’ve read I overall loved the progression of the story in this one. Aelin truly is that girl! I loved seeing her come into her own and was left scrambling for the next book.
7. Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
• Read in tandem with Tower of Dawn. This book throughly solidified my need for a Game of Thrones-esque tv show based on this series. It just screams that vibe. The level of genius and planning SJM has in this book is insane. I was in awe.
8. Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas
• Read in tandem with Empire of Storms. This book is a Chaol-centric book, so that right there made it hard for me to get through. I don’t love the character but did enjoy his character arc here.
9. Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas
• SJM really outdid herself with not only this final book but the series as a whole. I loved every second of this finale and was in awe by the end of it. I laughed. I cried. I still feel the need for more Dorian and Manon but what can you do haha. Overall just 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
10. Crescent City: House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas
• I read this book a while back but wanted to reread it in preparation for Crescent City 3 and to hopefully cure my TOG hangover. While the world-building is extensive and does make this book hard to get through, I love that SJM went more modern with this series. I also adore the banter between Hunt and Bryce.
