June Reads 📖📖📖
34. Finale by Stephanie Garber
Oh. My. God! I can’t believe I read that in just three days! It was so so so good! Definitely an amazing conclusion to the first two. The relationships were top tier and the reveals! Ahhhh. Don’t even get me started of Legends confession! I will be swooning over this book for quite some time. I can’t wait to read the next!
35. Spectacular by Stephanie Garber
What a cute little novella. It reminded me of the Christmas novella SJM did for ACOTAR. My version had drawings and I was obsessed with the sweetness of it all. Adorable!
36. Everybody Matters: My Life Giving Voice by Mary Robinson
I was excited to read this one as I’ve recently begun learning about Mary Robinson and her activism and life. But this memoir was a little too much for me. It felt very brain dump with minimal editing and I just got a bit bored with it in some parts. Love the story, but it could’ve been condensed.
37. The Lair by Lisina Coney
This was such a great, wholesome read. A quick one too! The fmcs arc was so grounded in reality and showcased a struggle with self that I haven’t really seen in any of my reads yet. I loved her relationship with Travis and the way she takes control of her life in such a strong way. Cute and amazing! Loved this one.
38. Caught Up by Navessa Allen
I am obsessed with these books. Navessa Allen knows how to keep a girl reading… or in my case listening. Do yourself a favor and listen to the amazing duet audiobook. You won’t regret it. I thought I loved Lights Out- and while Josh and Ali will always be my number one- I adore Nico and Lauren. Such a great second chance story.
39. King of Wrath by Ana Huang
I loved Ana Huangs Twisted series so I thought why not give this one a try. First off, adore Dante. But I couldn’t get behind the fmc. She just came off whiny to me. I also listened to the duet audiobook and love Jacob Morgan so this might be why lol. The pace was a bit slow but overall. I really enjoyed this one.
40. King of Pride by Ana Huang
Making my way through the Kings of Sin series and this one was not my fave. I liked the pace and the writing but I just couldn’t get behind Kai. He felt stiff and hard to like. Loved Isabella. So it’s like the last book for me but reversed lol. Can’t wait to read the next one though!
41. King of Greed by Ana Huang
I really loved this one. Dom and Ale are so cute and I was rooting not only for them as a couple but their own individual journeys as well. The growth shown is so important and it was just a great read all around. I didn’t love that the “big bad” was a little too quickly solved but it is what it is.
42. King of Sloth by Ana Huang
Easily my favorite of the series so far! I loved this story and the arc of the mcs. The reluctant friends to lovers, reverse grumpy x sunshine is so well done and I never wanted to put this one down. Obsessed with Xavier and even more so with Sloan. Amazing!
43. King of Envy by Ana Huang
I’m obsessed with Vuk! Ok. Now that that’s out of the way, I’m so obsessed with this book. It was definitely the best of the series I’ve read so far. Ayana and Vuk are my favorite couple behind Sloan and Javier. The drama, the action, the adorable kitten- this one had everything! Get through the series so you can experience this amazing one! I can’t wait to read the next….if only it wouldn’t take so long to come out haha.
44. Shades of Ruin by Willow Prescott
ARC REVIEW: honestly, loved this one so much more than the first. I found the first in this series hard to get through and the characters felt flat to me. But this one was off the charts! The characters, the action, all of it was crazy. This book definitely isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I really enjoyed it!
45. Where North Meets South by Elle Rhaeser
ARC REVIEW: While the story itself was interesting and resolved in a great cliffhanger, I found myself confused by the jumping narrative and the rushed timeline. Character arcs seemed foggy and unclear while other aspects were whimsical and enjoyable to read. It’s clear this is a debut but the tone behind it offers promise for the author.
