How I lost 5% body fat

😭 I’m someone who really really loves food — there’s no way I can eat plain chicken breast and salad every day.

I go to the gym 1–2 times a week, around 10 times a month (since my gym membership costs $105/month).

😂 Maybe my fitness results aren’t super impressive because I tend to slack off and just do whatever training I feel like, with no real plan.

🤭 But I’m still quite satisfied with my progress over these three years of working out!

😋 My diet:

Normal meals — I eat dinner, drink lattes, have fried food (but only at lunch), and snack occasionally (in moderation).

Controlled habits — I try to drink sugar-free drinks, choose low-fat milk, and reduce carbs (but not completely cut them out).

... Read moreLosing body fat doesn't always require extreme dieting or daily intense workouts. From my experience, consistency—even if it's just going to the gym 1–2 times per week—and making moderate adjustments to eating habits can gradually yield great results. I found that allowing myself to enjoy food, like having fried lunches or lattes, kept me motivated and prevented feelings of deprivation. Reducing sugar and choosing low-fat options helped balance indulgences without feeling restricted. Understanding body fat percentages also helped me track progress realistically. For example, dropping from around 27.7% body fat to about 22.2% was a gradual change observed over time. Instead of obsessing over fat loss, focusing on overall wellbeing and small sustainable changes made the process enjoyable. If you're like me and prefer flexibility over rigid plans, try sticking to a simple routine you can maintain long-term rather than pushing for drastic changes that feel unsustainable. Remember, moderate effort plus patience can lead to lasting progress.

Burning Fat ≠ Losing Fat 🔥
Burning fat and losing fat are different things. Let me explain using running vs incline walking. Your body gets workout energy mainly from two places: carbs and fat. When you go hard, like running fast or lifting heavy, your body uses more carbs because it’s quick. When you go easier, like w
