"Some People Love Parties… I Love Peace”

Some people think I’m “busy” because I disappear quietly.

Truth is… most of the time, I’m just somewhere between dreaming and sleeping. 🌙

One of the darkest little secrets about me?

I genuinely love sleep.

Not because I’m lazy… but because my mind has always been too loud for the world outside.

Even when I’m awake, I drift away into my own universe.

My sister used to call me “Sleeping Beauty” because I could sleep anywhere, anytime, and somehow still look half-asleep while living life. 😭

Maybe that’s why I was always the girl sitting at the back of the class.

Tall enough to hide there quietly.

Chatty when spoken to, but never truly a social butterfly.

People often mistake calm smiles for extroversion.

But honestly?

Crowded parties drain me.

Noise exhausts me.

I disappear from gatherings not because I hate people…

I just love peace more.

Give me: 🎮 games,

🎵 music,

📖 writing,

🍳 cooking,

🏍️ motorbikes,

🌧️ rainy nights,

and one soft bed beside a quiet window…

and I’ll survive happily.

I don’t dream about luxury bags or impressing the world.

If I ever wanted something expensive, it would probably be a car or a motorbike.... not for the logo, but for the feeling of freedom, horsepower, and escaping into the night roads near Bukit Timah. 🖤

At the end of the day, I think I’m just someone who wants a simple life.

A quiet corner.

Real people.

A peaceful heart.

Because honestly…

some souls were never made for the noise of this world. ✨

... Read moreAs someone who deeply connects with the desire for peace over constant social engagements, I can relate profoundly to the sentiments shared here. Life in a bustling city often makes it easy to feel overwhelmed by noise and crowds, and like the author, I sometimes find the best escape in sleeping or simply retreating into a quiet corner of my world. Sleeping isn’t just a routine for rest; it becomes a sanctuary where the mind quiets its relentless chatter. This inclination to disappear quietly aligns with what many introverts experience: a need to recharge amidst overstimulation. I’ve noticed that when parties or loud social events exhaust me, I crave the simple pleasures—music that soothes, books that transport, or the hum of a motorbike slicing through night air—activities that feed the soul without overwhelming it. Exploring hobbies like gaming, cooking, or writing can create that perfect peaceful balance where one feels alive yet undrained. For me, motorbiking holds an extraordinary appeal for the freedom and solitude it offers, much like the author's experience near Bukit Timah. The powerful engine and the quiet roads at night fuel a sense of liberation that’s hard to find elsewhere. In a world often obsessed with showing off and luxury, choosing peace over parties is a bold, authentic stance. It’s about valuing real human connections and inner tranquility over external validation. I’ve learned that there's profound strength in quietly living life on one’s own terms—treasuring emotional well-being and simple joys, like a soft bed by a quiet window or the gentle patter of rain. If you find yourself resonating with this peaceful, introspective lifestyle, remember that loving solitude and peace is not laziness but a powerful form of self-care and self-expression. Embracing your true nature and seeking moments where your mind can dream and wander freely ultimately nurtures a happy, fulfilled life.

My ahma passed on.... what now....
A question I get very often when families call me is: “What should we do immediately when someone passes away?” Honestly, in that moment, most people are shocked, confused, and overwhelmed. It’s completely normal. No one is ever truly prepared for loss. The first step is not to panic. Tak
