Question for awhile

From my experience using various social apps, encountering people who behave in ways that seem 'dumb' or 'weird' is quite common. This often stems from the diversity of users' backgrounds, cultures, and communication styles. Many times, what seems odd to one person can simply be another’s unique attempt to express themselves or seek attention. Also, the anonymity factor in apps may encourage some to act in ways they wouldn’t offline, sometimes leading to behaviors that come off as strange or confusing. It’s important to remember that users have different levels of digital literacy; some may genuinely not understand how to communicate effectively online. In my personal use, I’ve found that engaging with these users with patience or humor can improve interactions. Instead of dismissing them outright, trying to understand their intent or giving gentle guidance helps in fostering a more positive community atmosphere. Moreover, apps themselves could improve by providing clearer community guidelines and tools that encourage respectful communication. Recognizing that 'weird' or 'dumb' behavior often reflects deeper issues like loneliness, insecurity, or lack of experience with social norms online can cultivate empathy. Ultimately, becoming more aware of these factors has helped me better navigate social apps, making the experience less frustrating and more enjoyable.
