This June has been an incredibly rewarding month filled with memorable milestones for my family. Watching two of my daughters graduate—one from kindergarten and another from 8th grade with honors—was both emotional and inspiring. Celebrating their achievements reminded me how important it is to acknowledge each step of growth, no matter how small it may seem at the time. One highlight was seeing my 8th grader receive awards for Courage, Character, and Commitment from the New York State Office of the Attorney General, as well as recognition from the State Comptroller. These accolades are a testament to her hard work and dedication. Knowing that she earned the NYS Comptroller Student Achievement Award made me especially proud, as it reflects her perseverance and academic excellence. Alongside these proud educational moments, I also enjoyed seeing another daughter experience her first dance—an unforgettable rite of passage—and my 16-year-old daughter attend her junior prom. These social milestones are just as vital and highlight the balanced growth of personal and academic development. As a parent, these moments reaffirm how precious and fleeting childhood and adolescence can be. Celebrating these events brought our family closer and offered us time to reflect on the importance of encouragement and support through every stage. While the summer promises a little more relaxation, these beautiful memories will keep us energized for the months ahead.
