... Read moreHaving traveled to Lisbon multiple times, I can say it truly lives up to its reputation as one of Europe's most beautiful and timeless cities. Walking through its historic neighborhoods like Alfama and Bairro Alto, I was captivated by the blend of old-world charm and modern vibrancy. One of the most memorable experiences was riding Tram 28, which winds through many of Lisbon's iconic districts and offers fantastic views of the city’s colorful tiled buildings and picturesque streets. The city’s connection with the Tagus River adds a serene element to its lively atmosphere. Lisbon’s culinary scene is another highlight; indulging in traditional pastel de nata (custard tarts) at local bakeries gave me a sweet taste of Portuguese culture. Additionally, the city's lively cafes and seafood restaurants along the waterfront made dining an absolute delight. Aside from the city itself, nearby day trips to places like Sintra and Cascais are highly recommended for experiencing Portugal’s diverse landscapes and historic landmarks. Whether you enjoy art, history, or stunning views, Lisbon offers a rich blend of experiences that make every visit unique. Visiting Lisbon not only feels like stepping back in time but also energizes you with its contemporary spirit. I highly recommend setting aside a few days to fully immerse yourself in this beautiful destination, where every corner tells a story and every street holds a surprise.
