What you need to meet your goals

When people tell me what their goals are, you’d think I’d hear “I want a six pack” or “I want to lose X amount of weight” or “I want to build a lot of muscle” often.

But this isn’t the goal I get most often. You might be surprised to know that probably 75% of people I talk to say their goal is to “Feel better”.

The good news is, you don’t have to hire a personal trainer for that.

The things that most commonly help my clients “Feel better” are…

1.) moving their bodies, sometimes gently with just walking and stretching.

2.) Eating nutrient dense foods that help fuel them.

3.) Working on a mindset that allows them to not feel guilt when eating a slice of birthday cake or getting none sugar free syrup in their latte.

4.) Prioritizing sleep

5.) Just having someone to talk to and vent to about the things going on in their lives (When you’re working with people on something as vulnerable as their relationship with their bodies, they start to open up to you about other things too).

If you want to “Feel better” just pick one small habit and start doing that.

If you want to eat more nutrient dense foods, pick one fruit or vegetable and commit to adding it to your meals 3 times in a week.

If you want to sleep more, commit to not doom scrolling TikTok in bed and instead going to bed 30 minutes earlier.

If you want to drink more water, get yourself a water bottle and start drinking some fun flavored waters (75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated).

You don’t need to hire a wellness coach, you just need to be ready, willing and able to tackle one small habit at a time.
