Rating my empties

There’s something so satisfying about finishing a product, isn’t there? It means you actually used it all up, and now it's time for an honest review! For my very first empties post, I’m diving deep into some popular personal care items, with a special focus on the L'Oréal versus Aveeno debate that many of us often have when browsing the aisles. I've got a mix of hair care and body care here, and I'm excited to share my personal experiences and ratings. First up, let's talk about the L'Oréal Paris Ever Pure Bond Repair Shampoo. As someone who's always looking for ways to keep my hair healthy, especially with occasional heat styling, the promise of “bond repair” and being “sulfate-free” really drew me in. I’d rate this a 7/10. I liked it, but I didn't absolutely love it. My hair did feel clean without being stripped, which is a huge plus for a sulfate-free formula. Moving onto body care, the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Oil Mist was an absolute dream, earning a perfect 10/10! This product is amazing, so hydrating, and I would highly, highly recommend it. My skin tends to get dry, especially after showering, and this mist made it feel incredibly smooth and even. It absorbed quickly without leaving a greasy residue, which is crucial for me. If you’re looking to boost your skin’s moisture and achieve that healthy glow, this Aveeno body oil mist is a must-try. It truly conditions dry, rough skin. Next, I also finished a Santal Bloom Skin Rejuvenating Serum Body Wash. This one gets a 9/10 from me! Honestly, I loved the luxe smell – it was so relaxing and made my shower feel like a spa experience. The monoi oil, cupuaçu butter, and kukui oil blend really did nourish and soften my dry skin. My only tiny wish was for it to be a little more sudsy, as I enjoy a good lather, but the conditioning benefits outweighed that minor detail. It definitely made my skin feel rejuvenated. And for exfoliation, I used up a Super Scrub Body. This also earned a 10/10! This is a great body scrub. It has a nice musky but clean smell that wasn't overpowering. It effectively exfoliated my skin, leaving it feeling incredibly smooth and refreshed without being too harsh. I would absolutely buy this again. It’s perfect for prepping your skin before moisturizing with a product like the Aveeno body oil mist. So, when it comes to L'Oréal vs. Aveeno for general skincare product comparisons (and by that, I mean personal care including hair and body), what's my takeaway? L'Oréal seems to excel in targeted solutions, like their bond repair shampoo for specific hair concerns. Aveeno, on the other hand, consistently delivers on gentle, effective moisturization, especially for the body. If you're looking for advanced hair treatments, L'Oréal might be your go-to. But for everyday hydration and soothing body care, Aveeno truly shines with products like their daily moisturizing body oil mist. Both brands offer quality products, but my personal experience suggests Aveeno often wins for overall body skin health and comfort, while L'Oréal has its moments for specific hair needs. It really depends on what you're prioritizing for your routine. Overall, these empties taught me a lot about what works best for my skin and hair, and I'm already excited for my next round of empties reviews!
