So the author told us in the beginning that this was NOT a happy ending… but ma’am, you forgot to mention you were about to leave my HEART SHATTERED. 😭💔

And please take the trigger warnings seriously because whew… THIS was dark romance. Like, actual dark romance. Not the cute, slightly toxic kind. 😮‍💨

I’m not even going to lie, parts of the book were a little predictable. BUT did that stop me from needing to know what was going to happen next? Absolutely not. I was still turning those pages like, “Okay… but WHAT HAPPENS NOW?!” 😂

So I’m honestly stuck on the rating because I have SO many feelings. But overall?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 STARS

I don’t want to spoil a single thing, so I’m going to hush.

Just READ. THE. BOOK.

And then come back because I NEED somebody to discuss this emotional damage with. 😭📚💔

... Read moreHaving just finished this dark romance novel, I can personally attest to the emotional rollercoaster it delivers. Unlike the light or mildly toxic romances that sometimes masquerade under the same genre, this one plunges deep into darker, more raw emotional territory. The trigger warnings at the start are not an exaggeration—they prepared me for some intensely difficult moments that tackled trauma and unresolved scars with a stark realism. One aspect that stood out to me was how the author masterfully created tension and suspense. Even though I picked up on some predictable plot points, it didn't slow my urge to keep reading. The story unfolds with such a gripping momentum that you constantly ask yourself, "What’s going to happen next?" It felt like being on the edge of a cliff, eager yet anxious to see the next twist. The emotional impact of the book was profound. There were moments when I found myself genuinely heartbroken, reflecting on the characters' pain and struggles. This wasn't just entertainment; it was an emotional experience that resonated deeply. I could feel the weight of the characters' scars and the darkness they wrestled with, which made the story all the more compelling. For readers comfortable with emotionally heavy literature and who appreciate the complexity of flawed characters, this book is a must-read. It challenges the notion of romantic relationships and shines a light on the shadows many try to avoid. The narrative honors the reality that not all love stories end happily, sometimes leaving behind echoes of heartbreak that linger. If you decide to pick up this book, be prepared for an emotionally intense journey. It will test your empathy and emotional endurance, but the pay-off is a richly layered story worth experiencing. I highly recommend having a support community or fellow readers handy—to discuss the emotional scars it uncovers and to share in the intense discussions it inspires. Ultimately, this novel is a testament to the power of dark romance done right: unflinching, honest, and heartbreakingly human.

How to become an Author

i have some mixed feelings about this book! overall, i really did like it. it was fast-paced and kept my attention. but it was a little TOO far-fetched at some points. i get it, it’s fiction! it doesn’t HAVE to be realistic. but i just feel like some parts could have been thought out a little b
