It’s National Princess Day!

In the kingdom of Dark Oak Forest there is but one princess: Acoria. She was raised on tales and legends of royalty from all cultures Each night her mother brushed her amber locks while retelling stories with a musical voice. Acoria is hoping one day to find her Prince Charming, but the suitors amongst the common acorn folk leave little to be desired. Taking inspiration from a well known legend, Princess Acoria bravely approaches an wrinkled and slimy tree frog with the hopes that a kiss will transform this creature into the nut of her dreams. Will her kiss conjure any magic in this amphibian? Or will she only be wiping cold slime off her lips in disappointment?

Artist's Note: This shot was captured a couple summers ago when I discovered a grey tree frog camouflaged in our deck furniture. I knew I had to work quickly to get a shot of it with an acorn character, so I quickly built a princess cap then gently moved the frog to a rock where princess Acoria was already posed. Luckily, the frog stayed put long enough for me to snap the picture.
