That's why I perfected this super quick French toast and egg combo that feels gourmet but takes barely any time. Trust me, it's a game-changer for busy weekday mornings or even a lazy weekend when you don't want to spend ages in the kitchen. Let's dive into making that perfect French toast! First, grab your ingredients. You'll need about two slices of your favorite bread (I prefer a slightly thicker slice like brioche or challah, but plain white bread works beautifully too!), one large egg, about a quarter cup of milk (any kind works, almond milk is great too!), a dash of cinnamon, and a splash of vanilla extract. Whisk the egg, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla together in a shallow dish. Make sure it's well combined – no uncooked egg streaks! Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or cooking spray.
