Building better habits

First physical book of the year. I’m trying to read less on my phone to get more in tune with the world around me and not through a device. Stay tuned on how I feel about this book. #readinghabits #lemon8bookclub

... Read moreSwitching from digital reading to physical books has been a truly transformative experience for me. When I started reading less on my phone and picked up a tangible book, I noticed an immediate shift in my focus and overall mindfulness. Without the constant notifications and distractions of digital devices, I could immerse myself fully in the story and appreciate the texture and smell of real paper. This change not only helped me build better reading habits but also allowed me to slow down and engage more deeply with my surroundings. One unexpected benefit was the improvement in my sleep quality. Using my phone before bed often disrupted my rest due to blue light exposure, but with a physical book, I found it easier to unwind naturally. I also developed a stronger appreciation for authors and their craft, like Callie Hart, a #1 New York Times bestselling author, whose works I noticed in my reading list. Joining communities such as the #lemon8bookclub and #readinghabits allows me to share reflections and stay motivated to keep building positive routines. For anyone looking to cultivate better habits and become more present, I highly recommend incorporating physical books into your routine. It’s a simple yet powerful change that encourages mindfulness, reduces screen fatigue, and enriches your connection to the world around you.
