@beingblackislit 📹: anti__mia (tt) This America First global health strategy is not about solidarity. It is a transactional deal that puts American interests above African lives, using health as a gateway for surveillance, data extraction, and control. Through disease monitoring and outbreak response systems, African populations are treated as risk zones to be managed, while health data and decision-making remain in Western hands.

The strategy favours American and allied private companies in medicines, diagnostics, and healthcare, deepening dependency instead of building African self-sufficiency. The focus on fertility and biomedical research is especially alarming given Africa’s long history of medical exploitation, where Black bodies were used as testing grounds without consent. This is why many fear Africans being treated as guinea pigs once again.

Kenya’s pushback shows these concerns are real, yet many other African governments have signed under pressure. People call this recolonization because it follows an old pattern: foreign powers set the terms, African systems serve external interests, and dignity is sacrificed for access.

Quotes That Lit a Fire Within Me 🔥
These are the words that shift something inside you. Not the loud, trendy motivation. Not the hustle culture noise. But the kind of words that sit quietly in your chest… and remind you who you are becoming. Mental strength is not pretending life won’t hurt. It’s knowing you can survive

"Acting Black"
The phrase “acting Black” has always sat wrong with me, and lately I’ve been seeing it used more—especially toward people who aren’t Black. But let’s be real… there is no one way to “act Black.” When we say that, we reduce Black identity to a stereotype, like it’s a performance instead of a liv

Unpopular Opinion: Camp Rock Wasn’t This Lit in 08
That surprise Camp Rock duet wasn’t just a cute throwback—it was a full-blown pop culture whiplash. Sure, the crowd screamed, the harmonies slapped, and the nostalgia was delicious. But here’s the thing: moments like this expose how much the Disney machine shaped—and sometimes chewed up—its stars.
