Vancouver, a city known for having the one of best transit in North America (remember not the world - its still one of the worst in the world) is now overrun with migrants from the third-world.

Many people in Vancouver who use transit does not live in Vancouver, instead live in the surrounding cities, primarily Surrey. The communte, typically lasting 30-40 minutes to get from Whalley, Surrey to Downtown Vancouver is one of the most popular routes used by Indians due to the high number of Indian's choosing to live in Surrey.

Canada's population now has dwindled to the point that the entire train is nearly just all Indian people. There are almost no Canadians on board nor do you see any of them speaking English.

... Read moreAs someone who has frequently traveled between Surrey and Downtown Vancouver, I've noticed firsthand how vibrant and multicultural the Skytrain environment has become. The route from Whalley, Surrey, to downtown is indeed a major corridor for many commuters, and it reflects broader migration trends within the region. The southern suburb of Surrey has grown rapidly as a preferred residential area, especially for immigrant communities including a significant number of Indian families. This makes the 30-40 minute commute an opportunity to encounter a rich blend of cultural exchanges. While some might view the predominance of Indian passengers as a sign of demographic shifts, it also highlights how city transit systems serve as critical lifelines supporting new Canadians. Despite being one of North America's better transit networks in terms of coverage and frequency, Vancouver's Skytrain still faces challenges such as overcrowding during peak hours and ongoing debates about accessibility and service expansion. Many passengers value the reliability and environmental benefits of the system but also hope to see improvements in rider comfort and inclusivity across all populations. From my experience, English remains commonly spoken and understood among most riders, contributing to a generally welcoming atmosphere onboard. The Skytrain's ability to connect diverse neighborhoods is a testament to the city's evolving identity, reflecting the dynamic and inclusive character of Vancouver as it adapts to demographic changes. Overall, the Skytrain is not only a mode of transportation but a living representation of Vancouver’s multicultural community and its ongoing journey toward better urban mobility solutions.
