Being Away for Easter 🥲
Sadly I couldn’t have made it home for Easter especially since our college didn’t offer us any kind of a break so it would be a bit of a hassle to travel home for only a night or two. But I did have a lovely late breakfast with my wonderful friend Emma and we spent the whole day together catching up on homework and preparing for finals week next week. I’m glad I could spent a beautiful spring day and a wonderful Easter holiday with her and just focus on myself even if I am sad I wasn’t home with my family!
How did your Easter weekend go?
Easter is a time traditionally spent with family, but for many college students, especially during midterms and finals, it's not always possible to travel home. This article reflects on making the most of the day, highlighting the importance of friendships during times when family gatherings aren’t feasible. Spending Easter on campus gives students a unique opportunity to bond with friends and create new memories. With coursework looming, like homework and finals preparations, still finding joy in the season is vital. Consider hosting an Easter brunch with friends, indulging in spring-themed treats, or enjoying the beauty of spring by participating in campus activities. Engaging in these moments not only makes for a memorable Easter but also helps foster connections that can ease the stress of academic life. Whether you celebrated with activities, shared meals, or simply enjoyed each other’s company, these experiences can be just as fulfilling as traditional family festivities.

I'm glad you were able to spend time with your friend and focus on yourself! It's important to prioritize self-care, especially during busy times.
