plan my low cost wedding with me!!!

Even though our wedding isn’t for 16 more months, it’s a destination wedding so we’re starting the process now!

These are our save the dates, designed on Canva (free version). We printed these ourselves on 5x7 in cardstock cards.

We printed our own envelopes too, this requires Canva Pro if you want to bulk create. We had nice 5x7 in envelopes that matched our theme.

After popping by our post office to buy stamps, we were able to get these sent out. We included a QR code that brought our friends and family to a google form with additional information and questions we had so that we can book our venue soon.

THIS IS A DESTINATION WEDDING FOR MOST OF OUR GUESTS, SO WE ARE SENDING THESE A EARLIER THAN MOST.

Start by selecting a location that is not only beautiful but also affordable. Popular destinations like Salt Lake City, Utah, are often less costly than more well-known wedding locales. Think about the time of year too; off-peak seasons can save you a significant amount on both venue and accommodation costs. When it comes to invitations, tools like Canva can help you design stunning save-the-dates and invitations at minimal expense. Take advantage of Canva’s free version for basic designs or opt for Canva Pro for bulk printing capabilities, which is perfect for managing your envelopes as well. Consider including a QR code on your invites that links to a website or Google form with all the necessary information about the wedding, making it easier for guests to RSVP and stay updated. Due to the unique nature of destination weddings, sending save-the-dates early is essential. This will help guests make travel arrangements and ensure they secure their accommodations well in advance. Engaging your guests by personalizing your wedding communication demonstrates your thoughtfulness and excitement about sharing your special day. Finally, remember to enjoy the planning process! A low-cost wedding doesn't mean compromising on creativity or fun. With thoughtful planning and the right tools, you can have a beautiful celebration that remains within your budget and feels uniquely yours.
