5 Healthy Habits as a BUSY MOM ❤️

Motherhood is awesome, but it can be exhausting! If you’re not prioritizing your health, it can really take a toll. Here’s my list of healthy habits that help me be my best so I can be present and active with my toddler. If you’re a mom of a small child, what are some healthy habits that help you? #letschat

1. If your kiddo is an early riser, do what you can to prep the night before! Set out clothes, have some non-screen time activities ready to go, pre-plan your and their breakfast, etc. This can be a game changer, and let you get a little more sleep in the mornings before the craziness starts!

2. When pre-planning meals, focus on adding more fruit and veggies to both of your plates. Add green peas to their Mac n cheese, add a handful of spinach or some mushrooms to a breakfast scramble, etc.

3. Make water a priority! This also goes for both moms and kids. Always have some ice cold water on hand wherever you go, and encourage each other to hydrate.

4. Get quality sleep! Turn of the TV and electronics long before bedtime and start winding down early with dimmed lights, soft voices, etc. We even turn on the sound machine when we start our bedtime routine to signal it’s almost time to sleep. Moms should shoot for 7-9 hours a night too!

5. Prioritize social connections -especially if your a SAHM of littles. Keep in touch with friends and extended family, and try to help your kiddos make some friends early in life too. It can be so easy to be in your own little family bubble, but having adult conversations, someone to vent to or even just run to an exercise class or coffee date with is so important for your mental health.

On the social front, connecting with other parents can provide emotional support and practical advice, fostering a sense of community that is crucial for emotional well-being. Whether through playdates or coffee catch-ups, maintaining those friendships can greatly enhance your experience as a busy mom. By focusing on these healthy habits, you can cultivate a more balanced lifestyle that not only benefits you but also positively influences your family's well-being and happiness.
