The final step of color analysis… and one of the most misunderstood. ✨
This is where we compare sub-seasons vs the true season.
And here’s the confusion I see all the time:
Many people think they must belong to a sub-season.
But that’s not always true.
Sometimes, you are simply a True season.
For example, if a client is placed in the Winter home season,
I will compare:
• Bright Winter
• Cool Winter
• Deep Winter
• True Winter
One by one, we eliminate what doesn’t work…
until only one remains.
That becomes your final season.
Sometimes the difference is very obvious.
Sometimes it’s incredibly subtle.
In certain cases, I go back and forth between drapes multiple times
just to confirm which one truly harmonizes best.
Because this is where precision matters.
So now I’m curious…
What season do you think this beauty is? 👀

From my personal experience diving into color analysis, I've found that truly understanding whether you belong to a true season or a sub-season can be a game changer for your style and confidence. Many people jump straight to sub-season labels like Bright Winter or Deep Winter without realizing that sometimes, the 'True Winter' season might fit them best. I've spent time testing this on clients by draping different palettes against their skin tone, and it's fascinating how subtle differences in undertones or contrast levels can completely change what looks harmonious. For instance, with winter palettes, the distinctions can be so delicate that a shade appearing vibrant on one person might look overwhelming on another. That back-and-forth testing to pinpoint the exact fit not only ensures your clothing and makeup choices enhance your natural features but also helps avoid buying colors that ultimately don’t flatter you. I also recommend paying attention to how colors make your skin glow rather than wash you out or emphasize shadows. True seasons tend to have more balanced attributes without leaning too much into brightness or depth, which is why they sometimes get overlooked. If you're unsure about your season, consider working with a professional who can conduct a thorough analysis. This tailored approach takes the guesswork out and really elevates your wardrobe selections. Remember, mastering your color analysis journey is about precision and discovery—both vital for unlocking your best personal style.
