Black is one of the worst neutrals for Springs. 🖤

Why?

Black is dark, cool, and harsh. Against Spring coloring, it can create darker under-eye shadows, make the complexion appear gray or pale, emphasize imperfections, and, most importantly, overpower you.

And when I say overpower, this is exactly what I mean:

People see the color before they see you.

Put a Spring in a large amount of black, and the outfit can easily become the main character instead of the woman wearing it.

Springs have so many beautiful neutral alternatives that create harmony while still giving you structure, elegance, and endless styling possibilities.

This video shows some of the best ones. Enjoy them and thank me later. 🤌🏻

And remember, we spend A LOT of time wearing neutrals. Getting them right can completely change the way you build your wardrobe.

... Read moreWhen it comes to choosing neutrals for Spring color types, the key is finding colors that complement your warm and bright complexion rather than muffle it. Black, being a dark and cool tone, tends to create harsh contrasts that highlight shadows and imperfections around the face, which is why many who identify as True Springs often find it unflattering. Instead of wearing stark black, consider lighter and warmer neutrals like camel, ivory, light beige, warm taupe, or even soft peachy tones. These alternatives maintain sophistication and structure while harmonizing beautifully with your natural coloring. In my own wardrobe journey, swapping black for these warm neutrals transformed how I felt and looked. Outfits felt lighter, and people commented more on my overall radiance rather than the intensity of my clothes. Another wardrobe tip is to mix these neutrals with vibrant Spring colors—coral, turquoise, golden yellow—to create outfits that truly pop without overwhelming your complexion. The recent video shared highlights some of these perfect neutrals for Springs, showing how they blend gently and emphasize natural beauty. Pay attention to how colors like a soft beige or warm gray add depth without harshness. Don't be afraid to experiment with these tones in different fabrics and styles to find your personal favorites. Remember, neutrals are the backbone of any wardrobe, and wearing the right ones makes styling effortless and enhances every other piece you wear.
