私も以前、ビニールハウスの張替え作業を体験したことがあります。実際に現場に立ってみると、この作業がいかに緊張を強いられるかがよく分かりました。特に風の影響を受けやすく、少しでも風が吹くと大きな面積のビニールが一気にパラシュートのように膨らみ、人を押し倒すほどの力になるのです。 このため、作業中は風の動きを常に注視し、風が弱まった一瞬を狙って素早く動く必要があります。私が参加したときも、風が急に出てきて作業が一時中断になる場面がありました。焦る気持ちを抑えて、安全を最優先にしなければ怪我のリスクが高まるのを肌で感じました。 また、二人以上で作業することの重要性も実感しました。一人でビニールを扱おうとすると、風に煽られて制御が難しくなるため、必ず複数人で協力しながら対応します。実際には、風がビニールに巻き付いてしまうことも度々あり、手を放さずに最後まで持ち続ける忍耐力と体力が求められます。 安全対策としては、滑りにくい靴を履き、手袋やヘルメットを着用して万全の準備を整えることが基本です。さらに、事前に天候を正確に予測し、なるべく風の弱い時間帯を選んで作業を計画することも重要です。 風の読み方は経験が物を言いますが、周囲の木々の揺れ方や空の様子から風の強さや向きを感じ取るコツを私も教わりました。こうした知識が安全でスムーズな作業につながることを身をもって学べました。 この経験を通じて、ハウス農家が毎年行うビニールの張替えがいかに大変で、安全に行うために細心の注意を払っているかを深く理解しました。ぜひ、これから同じ作業をする方や興味がある方には、このリアルな現場の厳しさとやりがいを知ってもらいたいと思います。農作物を守るため、日々挑戦を続ける農家の努力に敬意を払いたいですね。
