実際にハウス張りを体験すると、作業の繊細さとスピード感に驚かされます。新品ビニールは気温が上がると熱でくっつきやすいため、早朝の涼しいうちに一気に作業を片付ける必要があります。風の力をうまく活かしてビニールをピタッと張ることが、作業効率アップのカギです。 特に興味深いのは「巻き巻きの儀」と呼ばれるサイドビニールの巻き上げ作業。自分も試しに巻いてみましたが、真っ直ぐに仕上げるのは思いのほか難しく、性格が表れるという言葉にも納得。丁寧に巻けると気持ち良く、仕事への自信にもつながるのだと感じました。 固定には、頑 丈な黒い紐が使われますが、これが長持ちして作業の安心感を支えています。チームの信頼感と、作業中のちょっとした遊び心も感じられ、一人でやるよりも皆で協力することでスムーズかつ楽しく進みます。 ハウス内の野菜を守るための準備がこんなにも手間と心配りを必要とするとは。自分の経験から言うと、農業は自然の力を味方にするだけでなく、人の工夫と連携が大切なことが分かりました。これからもこうした技や知恵を大切にしながら、真っ直ぐで丁寧な仕事を続けていきたいと思います。
