5 things I do that helps with my bpd:

1. Counting. Counting helps so much because it GROUNDS you. Helps you relax. Counting things around you ( such as windows, rocks, birds, etc )and also counting things on your body ( fingers, teeth, toes, buttons, bracelets, etc )

2. Taking walks. Taking walks are very therapeutic/nurturing. It gives you a sense of calmness and a clear mind. I personally listen to music on my walks. The music gives it so much more peace.

3. Voice Journaling. Nobody knows you better than you do of course. If you can’t talk with anybody else and you need some relief? VOICE JOURNAL. Throw your airpod in, put your phone down and just talk. It’s not only good for venting, it’s great for memories and milestones. I personally recommend voice journaling because I cannot focus enough to write lol.

4. Reading. I know there may be plenty of people out there who don’t like to read lol. I, myself used to be that way. I personally read hard copy books but for starters? digital books are great. Find a genre that interests you and search for stories. Reading a good book and getting lost in it is such an exhilarating feeling and that is why it helps me so much. It won’t be easy at first. Especially if you like to move around a lot like me lol, but it is all so worth it once you connect with a story.

5. Yoga. TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THIS. YOGA WILL BE THE BEST DECISION OF YOUR LIFE. Sorry for the captions but I am not being dramatic. It is perfect. You’ll feel brand new after each session. It not only helps you physically, but it does so much for you mentally as well. I’ve learned different ways to manage my breathing for different situations. I’ve learned poses that puts me at ease completely. Yoga is definitely something that I made apart of my daily routine. It helps a lot with regulation.

Additional Tips: Remember that you are human and your healing will not happen overnight. It is perfectly fine to make mistakes. Stay accountable, stay kind and stay true to yourself! ❤️ #bpdawareness #mentalhealthmatters #2025goals
