Today I had a Gen X Mom Meltdown

A Note From Me to You

Welcome. I’m really glad you’re here.

For most of my life, I was the strong one—the one who kept going, figured things out, and held everything together. I raised my daughters alone, without a village, and learned early how to survive by over-giving. Somewhere along the way, I lost touch with myself.

By the time I reached 50, my body and spirit asked a hard, honest question:

What will you do with the years you have left?

I knew one thing clearly—I didn’t want to spend them abandoning myself anymore.

This group was born from that moment.

I don’t believe women over 50 need to be fixed, rushed, or told to “push through.” Many of us have spent decades carrying responsibility, emotional labor, and quiet endurance. What we need now is space—to rest, to reflect, and to restore what was worn down.

This is a place to return—gently—to yourself.

To your body.

To your boundaries.

To your dignity.

You don’t have to perform here.

You don’t have to explain yourself.

You don’t have to be strong all the time.

If you’re tired of surviving and ready to come home to yourself, you’re in the right place.

I’m here with you.

I feel like a terrible mom for even thinking that.
I just need somewhere to scream into the void because I feel like I’m reaching my breaking point with my 4.5-year-old. Every day I dread coming home from work because I walk into—surprise—more crying. No candy? Crying. No snacks? Crying. No iPad? Crying. We pick her up from school early, at least a
