Be the kind of person who makes others feel safe,

Good morning and happy Friday ☀️

The older I get, the more I realize… peace matters. Energy matters.

Who you surround yourself with matters.

I don’t need a big circle. I just want good people. People who are good for me, good to me, and good for my soul.

Life is too short to spend it explaining your worth, shrinking yourself, or carrying negativity that was never yours to hold.

Choose people who clap when you win. Who pray for you when you struggle. Who speak life over you when you forget your own strength.

As Proverbs 13:20 reminds us, “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.”

Today, protect your peace.

Reach out to someone who fills your cup. Be the kind of person who makes others feel safe, seen, and supported.

Who is someone in your life you’re grateful for this morning? Tag them or tell them. Let’s spread a little extra good today.

Happy Friday 🤍

2/20 Edited to

... Read moreAs I have grown older, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the importance of peace and positive energy in my life. It’s not about having a large social circle but about having meaningful, genuine relationships with people who bring joy and support. I used to find myself caught up in negative situations where I felt drained or undervalued, often trying to explain my worth or prove myself to others who didn’t see it. That only led to more stress and shrinking my own spirit. Now, I actively choose to be around those who genuinely celebrate my wins and stand by me during tough times. It’s amazing how just being with the right people can recharge your soul. I also make it a point to be that kind of person for others — someone who listens without judgment, offers reassuring words, and creates a safe space where people feel truly seen. This intentional focus on protecting peace and surrounding myself with goodness has transformed how I navigate daily life. I’m more resilient, confident, and at peace because the company I keep uplifts rather than diminishes me. It reminds me of Proverbs 13:20, which encourages walking with the wise to become wise. Meaningful connections are a cornerstone of wisdom and wellbeing. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or burdened, try reflecting on who in your life truly supports your growth and happiness. Reach out to those people and nurture those bonds. And if you can, be that safe and supportive person for someone else. It’s a simple but powerful way to spread kindness and protect your own peace. Life is far too short to carry negativity that doesn’t belong to us, so let’s choose to fill our lives with light and love every day.
