🤍 How I Felt: At times, I’ve felt like I’ve been doing it all alone. I’ve felt as though our support system could be stronger, but all in all we are blessed! I’m so grateful to be a twin mom of my beautiful and intelligent Andrew and Amira! Being a twin mom has not been an easy grasp, I’m still learning myself everyday as a woman, and as Akkia (myself). I’m still finding my path through life and my career. I’m happy that they’re here to find me with me! They shall never feel a droplet of my rainstorms.

🤍 My Takeaways: Remember to take a step back and BREATHE mama!! Most importantly always understand taking care of you is a part of taking care of the child(ren)! Understand that you have the ability to be so many things all while still being a great mom.

Being a twin mom is a beautiful yet challenging experience. Over the years, I’ve navigated through joy and adversity, from the moment I found out about my twins to tackling preeclampsia during pregnancy. My babies spent 22 days in the NICU, which taught me the value of patience and resilience. As mothers, it's essential to prioritize our own well-being amidst the chaos of parenting. Embrace self-care, take moments to breathe, and remember that nurturing yourself enables you to nurture your children more effectively. Many twin mothers share similar stories, making it vital to cultivate a supportive community. Engaging in forums or local groups can provide the necessary encouragement and resources. Cherish every moment with your little ones and find joy in their growth. The bond between twins can be incredibly unique and rewarding, leaving lasting impacts on our lives. Let's celebrate our journey as moms and the incredible memories we create with our children. Together, we can share our experiences and support one another in this amazing adventure of motherhood.
