أعلنت المتحدثة باسم اليونيفيل كانديس أرديل، أن الهجمات الإسرائيلية التي تتعرض لها القوات الدولية تثير قلقًا كبيرًا، مشددة في الوقت نفسه، على أن قوات حفظ السلام ملزمة بأداء واجبها، وستواصل ذلك بالموارد المتاحة، تماماً كما فعلت في العام الماضي عندما واجهت عدة هجمات لكنها رفضت المغادرة، وظلت ملتزمة بمهمتها.
وأشارت أرديل إلى أن عمل القوات الدولية يبقى محفوفًا بالمخاطر، مؤكدة أن اليونيفيل تطبق تدابير أمنية صارمة للحفاظ على سلامة أفرادها قدر الإمكان، وموضحة أن مسؤولية حماية قوات حفظ السلام تقع في نهاية المطاف على عاتق الأطراف المعنية بالقرار 1701.
كما لفتت إلى حادثة أمس الأحد، عندما سقطت قذائ ف على مسافة لا تتجاوز خمسة أمتار من قوة تابعة لليونيفيل كانت تقوم بدورية راجلة، وقالت إنه يجب تذكير الجيش الإسرائيلي بالتزاماته في ما يتعلق بحماية أفراد البعثة.
وأوضحت أن تقليص عمل القوات مرتبط أساساً بالأزمة المالية التي تؤثر على الأمم المتحدة ككل، مضيفة أن ذلك لن ينعكس على التزام البعثة بالقرار 1701 ولا على التدابير الأمنية الصارمة التي تتخذها لحماية عناصرها.
كما ذكرت أن ما يجري لن يغير في طبيعة عمل اليونيفيل التي ستواصل تنفيذ مهامها الأساسية، مع التركيز على مراقبة الخط الأزرق، والإبلاغ عن انتهاكات القرار 1701، ودعم الجيش اللبناني.
جولة: من جانبه، زار رئيس القائد العام لليونيفيل ورئيس البعثة "اليونيفل" الجنرال ديوداتو أبانيارا بلدية الناقورة والتقى رئيس البلدية إبراهيم حمزة وأعضاءها ، مطلعا على الأضرار والبنى التحتية اللاحقة بالبلدة نتيجة العدوان الإسرائيلي .
وافاد بيان "لليونيفيل" بان الزيارة تناولت مختلف الملفات الحيوية في البلدة، ولا سيّما شؤون المياه، والبيئة، والطرقات، إضافة إلى احتياجات الأهالي الطارئة والمتجدّدة.
وخلال الزيارة، قدّم اللواء أب انيارا مئة حصة غذائية دعمًا لأهالي البلدة، تأكيدًا لالتزام اليونيفل بالوقوف إلى جانب المجتمع المحلي وتعزيز صموده.
وأثر الزيارة، أولى الجنرال أبانيارا اهتمامًا سريعًا بالطلبات التي عرضتها البلدية، حيث أُرسلت فورًا فرقا تنفيذية من الكتيبتين الإيطالية والصينية لمعاينة الحاجات وتقييم الواقع ميدانيًا.
ونتيجة للكشف، باشرت فرقة تشغيلية صينية أعمالها في البلدة، مصحوبة بآلياتها، فبدأت فتح الطرقات الداخلية وإزالة ما تبقّى من الركام بعد انتهاء مجلس الجنوب من الهدم وازالة الركام كخطوة أولى ضمن مبادرة تعاون مشترك بين اليونيفل وأبناء البلدة.
وتوجهت بلدية الناقورة ورئيسها حمزة بالشكر والتقدير لبعثة اليونيفل والجنرال ابنيارا على سرعة الاستجابة والدعم المتواصل، مؤكدة "حرصها على استمرار هذا التعاون لما فيه مصلحة البلدة وأهلها".

UNIFIL has called on the Israeli military to adhere strictly to its obligations to protect peacekeepers from harm. Financial constraints impacting the United Nations as a whole have led to discussions about scaling back operational activities. However, UNIFIL asserts that these budgetary pressures will not compromise its core mission or the stringent safety measures it maintains. Beyond security, UNIFIL continues to support Lebanese communities affected by the conflict. The Force Commander’s recent visit to the municipality of Naqoura involved assessing war damage and infrastructure needs, including water, roads, and environmental concerns. To reinforce community resilience, UNIFIL delivered 100 food parcels and promptly deployed operational teams from Italian and Chinese battalions to conduct on-the-ground assessments. Subsequent restoration efforts have commenced, with road clearance and debris removal underway in collaboration with local authorities. This joint initiative reflects UNIFIL’s holistic approach—combining peacekeeping with humanitarian assistance—to foster stability and normalcy in affected areas. Such community engagement reinforces the critical role of peacekeepers not only in monitoring ceasefires but also in bolstering local livelihoods amid conflict fallout.
