Butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid that's absolutely vital for colon health, known for its anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to strengthen the gut barrier. For someone with SIBO, a compromised gut lining (often referred to as 'leaky gut') is a common and problematic issue. I found that incorporating probutyrate helped to calm my digestive system significantly. It provided much-needed support for my gut integrity, which I believe was key in reducing some of my SIBO-related discomfort.
